This functions like a primer: it conceals any stain or uneven discoloration of your nails and softens / blurs the line between the free edge and the nail bed (called visible nail line or VNL) for a smooth transition underneath sheer and jelly polishes. It will also help conserve your favorite polish by allowing use of fewer coats. This is your typical basecoat but with a twist.
